Importing and Exporting Data in Recruitment PLUS™
Getting Started with
Imports and Exports
The Import/Export Wizard helps you manage
data imports to Recruitment PLUS and exports of data from Recruitment
PLUS. Before you do an import or export:
- Read the Import/Export General
Documentation. This document gives an
overview of the entire import and export process with step-by-step
instructions for completing specific tasks.

Package Naming Convention
- Make sure that a package
for the import or export(s)
is installed in your database.
We provide standard packages for many
common data file layouts. To
see if the package you need is available, check the
Import Package List or Export Package List. Please choose the links on
the left side of this page appropriate for the version of Recruitment
PLUS you are using.
If the package you need is in the
list:
- Download and read the package documentation. The
package documentation is a supplement to the Import/Export General
Documentation document that provides instructions specific to the
package you are working with.
- Contact
Support Services
to request installation of the package.
If the package you need is NOT in the list, you
have these options:
- Contact
Support Services
to see if the package you need is under development.
- For imports - create a data file that matches the
file layout of one of our standard packages.
- For exports - extract the data you need from one of
our standard export output files.
- Use the new custom import builder
functionality or export builder functionality available beginning in
Recruitment PLUS 8.x.
Recruitment PLUS 8.0 Upgrade
With the
upgrade to Recruitment PLUS 8.0, any
standard Import or Export packages installed in your database will be updated to
package versions compatible with Recruitment PLUS 8.0. Documentation for 8.0
packages has been revised and is
available on the package list pages.
Custom Import/Export
Packages
If the package you need is NOT on the
Import or Export Package List, you
have these options:
- Contact
Support Services
to see if the package you need is under development.
- For imports - create a data file that matches the
file layout of one of our standard packages.
- For exports - extract the data you need from one of
our standard export output files.
- Request a custom import or export
package.
We offer development of custom packages
as a fee-based
project. Custom projects are billed at
the rate of $150 per hour of research and development required.
To request a custom project, please complete the
Project Request Form.
